Book 1 in The Edgars Family Romantic Suspense Novels

A Man in Desperate Need
FBI Agent Jake Carlisle is in deep trouble. While undercover he’s been shot but he’s not sure if it’s the crooks or local cops behind it. Worse, if he can’t get help fast, two lives will be lost—his and that of the young witness, a boy whom he’s sworn to protect. On the run from both the police and the Russian Mafia, he’ll do anything to save the child at his side, even something illegal. In desperation he kidnaps a nurse from a hospital parking lot.

A Woman at The Edge of Despair
ER nurse Samantha Edgars has been living in an emotional vacuum since the death of her daughter. Abandoned by her husband not long afterward, she struggles just to get through each day, but now all she’s wants is for the pain to stop and finally be at peace with her child. Mentally and physically exhausted following a difficult shift, she walks through the hospital’s dark parking lot lost in her own thoughts. Suddenly, she’s jolted from her stupor when she’s bound, gagged, and tossed into the back of her car.

Danger on Their Heels
When they arrive at her home, she’s terrified and forced to tend a bleeding FBI agent and his injured witness. But Samantha quickly learns the rogue agent and orphaned boy need more than just her professional skills. With a menace bearing down on them, she must learn to trust Jake—and her heart—if they’re all going to survive.

‘Kidnapped,’ is book one in the Edgars Family series and was a very endearing, heartbreaking, and thrilling novel. Jake Carlisle is an undercover FBI agent, whom has been working to bring down a drug and sex trafficking Russian mob, when his cover is blown by someone with local law enforcement. Now he’s on the run, injured, and trying to save an injured young boy/witness, Nicky. Desperate to save Nicky, Jake finds himself crouched down in an Hospital parking lot, praying Nicky makes it, when he spots a young woman in scrubs exiting the hospital’s ER entrance. He doesn’t think twice in kidnapping this young woman in order to save Nicky... Samantha Edgars is a nurse practitioner, whom has given up on life. The loss of her daughter, followed closely by her divorce, left her felling alone, isolated, and numb. All she longing for now is for peace. Samantha suddenly finds herself pressed up against her car, a hand over her mouth, and her first thought/reaction is to fight back, she doesn’t want to die. It’s the first spark of life she felt in four years... These two worlds collide, during their most desperate times... will the both get what they need? Will Samantha be given a new lease on life? Will Jake save Nicky and bring down this mob?

GREAT STORY! KEPT ME READING FROM THE FIRST PARAGRAPH ON INTO LATE HOURS OF THE NIGHT! STUPENDOUS IN ALL WAYS--CHARACTERS, BUILD UP SUSPENSE -- that kept on throughout the book! Romance-subtle at first...then, full blown passion! Well written description of emotions--from sadness >tears, laughter > anger, wit. SUPERB -- I highly recommend this book and writer: Suzanne Ferrell. You won't be disappointed. I am a fairly new fan. Have read another book of hers. Same conclusion. I do plan on reading all of her books!

It was okay, but way too far-fetched for me. One step above a Harlequin Romance.

Not normally a book I would pick to read. So happy I did! Action packed and romantic, even erotic to an old woman like me! I'll be reading all I can find from this author!
